Lease Information
A lease is a written agreement between a landlord and a tenant that allows the tenant to occupy, for either business or personal needs, a space at a set rent and under certain conditions for a specified period of time. A lease is legally binding for both the landlord and tenant. Although most leases are for a one year period, the terms of the agreement can vary. Some leases are self-renewing, meaning if there is no notice given by either the landlord or the tenant by a date specified in the lease, the agreement is automatically renewed for another year.
